Yes the couple gets their happily ever after, but the way the resolution came about wasn’t my favorite. I won’t go into details because I don’t want to spoil it. She was such a deep well thought out character and Tyler and Krew tugged at my heart. Maybe it’s because I married a dad with a little boy, but it made me cry several times.

This is one of those books that makes you laugh, cry, and maybe mentally take a character to task over a decision they make a time of two. Isn’t it great when a book makes you feel so much? One thing I love about Kortney’s writing in general is that there is so much emotion behind the words that it feels so incredibly genuine and real.

This book hits on grief/mourning (loss of a parent and loss of a spouse/mom), and the way it was written made me feel so connected to these characters I LOVED this book! If you are familiar with Kortney’s writing, this should already be on your auto-buy list. If you are new to Kortney’s writing-you are in for some of the best reading you’ll ever find!
